Hello John,
Magnaflow is an aftermarket producer of high end exhaust systems,the muffler is polished stainless steel as well as the flat band clamps that hold the system together(no crimped piping),all piping is stainless as well.There is no cat in this particular system,system part #15987.Don't know about the air intake system being required...but I have that too.Its a complete K&N High Flow system clamp/bolt on system in new condition.
