My wife and I have found that by the time you see a diesel station tall enough to get under the overhang, you have passed it on the freeway. Then if you take a chance and exit the freeway, and come up to a questionable clearance height, that is not posted, and then you go in and ask them how how their overhang is, 75% of the people we have asked, have no idea. So I would just top off my small 32 gallon tank at a rest stop with my two 5 gallon cans, and then when I am unhooked at the campsite, fill up the truck for the next leg. But now that I have the Titan 55 gallon tank where the OEM tank was, I don't even think about refueling while hooked up.
