Look at the circuit breaker. It is a two pole circuit breaker, 50 amps on each pole. 50 amps thru hot leg 1 plus 50 amps thru hot leg 2 = up to 100 amps 120 vac capability = up to 12,000 watts.
And it is 240 vac measured hot leg 1 to hot leg 2.
it is 12000 watts... but at 120 volts..
