Our 2013 3402RL has a sheet of shiny plastic that is about 1/4" thick as the insulation between the tanks and coroplast. We dropped the front once and it is a bit of a trick to get the insulation to go up and around the edges while at the same time holding and screwing the coroplast back on...
I'm not sure that soaking the insulation ruins it as such - although moisture is never good when it is trapped.
