Each gray water tank has its own gate valve. The gray tank handle that is next to your black tank handle in the convenience center is the shower and vanity sink gray tank. There is another pull handle for opening the galley(kitchen) gray tank valve, it is below the frame, either between the two tires, or in front of the forward tire on the street side of the 5er.
The washing machine drain is a crapshoot as to where it actually drains to. I have read where some are plumbed to the gray tank and the gray dump valve should be open while using the washer to prevent over filling the tank and causing a flood out of the washing machine, and some are plumbed to the main dump tube, bypassing the gray tank completely.
