Pin weight. Pin weight. Pin weight is part of Carry capacity as the pin weight is carried in the bed of the truck. The dually increases the pin weight. If you do the numbers and your pin eight is within specs you are good.Example the GVWR of our 08 F-350 Dually is 13K.We ordered in to that spec. The Carry capacity is listed as 4268 however the actual weight of the truck ready to pull ourt 13 3402 is 9215Lbs gvwr less actual truck weight is 3785 which is the actual carry capacity left. The pin weight last time we weighed was 3150lbs leaving 635 lbs left over. If the GVWR of the truck was 11500 lbs which many are our actual Carry capacity would be 2289 leaving us out of spec for our pin weight,Do your numbers and check the results. At least you will know.
