My dealer did the work; the extra reds were spliced into the existing wiring and they work great. Nice and bright! I've also added red/silver DOT reflective tape along the length of the hitch bar and am planning to add some more white reflective tape on the upper corners {like on the semi trailers}and along the back. I don't miss the backup lights as I don't think they are of any benefit.
