That's just what I was thinking. I had one of those the Reese "pro series" sliders. The way the bar slid across the pin you could easily drop the king pin on top of it and consequently drop the trailer if you didn't check it beforehand. Also had the bar not go all the way across a couple times on mine and the king pin could push the bar back and potentially slip off. No matter what you only had the King pin captured on the front and rear lip and not completely surrounded (IE: front, rear and sides). Just a cheap design that had plenty of potential for failure!
