My dealer always cautions those winterizing not to forget the washer and ice maker stating that those are the most often overlooked followed by the outside shower. It is said he has more floor repairs due to the 1st 2 leaking.
That's a Samsung problem, not a residential refer problem. One national consumer specialist recommends against getting anything Samsung (or LG) because you can't find anybody to do warranty work on them...regardless of where they are. Stick with a Whirlpool, GE, Frigidare, etc and you'll be fine.
