There is a sweep (elbow) on the pipe from the toilet to the tank if that is what you mean, you can't just look down the toilet into the tank. On the drain side of the tank it comes out and also has a sweep. You might have an issue of the cable pulling out of the valve, they are held by a single set screw. Will have to drop the choroplast to find out....... If you are going that far you might as well install new Valterra valves while you have it down and you are there anyway. They are a way better product and much easier to open & close...
