Taylor reservoir (you can rent a boat there). Just below the dam are gold medal trout waters (catch & release only). Below that is the Taylor river (with some sections on posted private lands). I caught the biggest rainbow trout of my life there.
There is a national forest campground there called Lottis Creek. You can reserve a site but you will want to do so well in advance of your arrival. You can reserve up to 6 months out.
