Funny, everyone I have talked to says they love the convection oven too. My experience has not been great with ours. It seemed to burn everything on one side, so I tried rotating the crescent rolls I was cooking halfway through last time. The tops were beautiful and evenly brown so I thought I had mastered the technique - until I took them off the sheet and saw the bottom was basically uncooked.

I'm not quite ready to give up yet. I talked to an appliance repairman that lives in my neighborhood and he asked if I was preheating the convection oven just like I would a regular oven. Nope, because it takes too long and patience is not one of my virtues. He seems to think that is my problem since the convection oven, just like a regular oven, has a preheat cycle where the element heats quickly to raise the temperature. We're going out this weekend and I'm going to try fully preheating before I use it. Wish me luck. I'll post my results in hopes it will benefit someone else.
