Not being familiar with your floorplan or the location of the existing sofa, just measure the retracted width and depth to ensure it will fit into the intended area. Then make sure when it's opened that it also fits.
Folks change out their furniture all the time, just make sure that it will fit. DON'T HOPE it's gonna fit. MAKE SURE it's gonna fit. Measure twice and write it down!
