The Costco gennys are a good option. Yamaha powered, 3 year warrantee, pure sine wave, quiet running, parallel connection to another genny for 33 amp peak/27 amps continuous @ 120v.
The parallel kit is $60, but you could make one or a lot less than that.
If these had been available at the time I bought my Honda eu2000i and eu2000i Companion, I would have taken a long, hard look at them and probably saved myself $800.
....but I'm very happy with my two Hondas. Just used them with the extended-run marine fuel tank that I made, for a couple weeks in SoCal. Nice and cool during the heat wave!!!
