Our (built in May 2007) 3400Rl was W/D prepped and we had the stack ables installed by the dealer. I prefer dealer installation for warranty purposes. As stated, the drain is directly into the discharge pipe so you MUST be hooked up to sewer to run the washer. I have heard, but cannot verify, that the dryer is capable of 240V, and that it will dry a lot faster than 120V. That would be another cost option to run that line as it is only prepped for 120V. Drying is very, very slow. We have the vent going to the outside.
