We ordered our 2011 3580RL Big Sky with only one AC unit in the living room. After a couple of 100+ deg California days we added the 2nd unit to the bedroom. The trailer was already setup for a second unit and the unit is connected to the same duct and thermostat as the 1st unit. The thermostat that came in the trailer is a double unit, you can run both at the same time or just one unit. You can set the thermostat so each unit is on its own temp setting and will operate on its own. Each unit has a bypass on the unit to push the air to the duct or push the air in to the room it is in. It is much cheaper to have the 2nd unit put in on the factory order than to add it later.
