The only time I noticed my slides not extending or retracting in a square fashion, I was fortunate to find the battery was almost dead. I had my slide disconnect so the converter didn't charge my battery. I put a battery charger on it and it started working again. Just my experience, this might not be your problem. But do check the battery voltage, that it's over 12.6 volts.
