Tony, we reside in Florida or at least originated from there and had the 2nd A/C installed by the dealer when we purchased the rig. It was our choice to get the Carrier low profile 13.5 not ducted. It is 7 1/2 inches in height. Not sure if they still are manufactured. The next low profile is the Dometic at 9 or 9 1/2 inches in height. I think the 13.5 BTU unit is sufficient.
Do your homework and decide what is best for you. I really think either of the above would do well for your needs. Good Luck.
