As I understand the Verizon rep, if you get a booster unit that works in the 800 and 1900 mz, you gain not only voice but data ability. Therefore the card or usb data connector for your computer would communicate with the cell tower via your booster. Sounds like a Wire less Internet type system, that would work not only with your computer but your cell phone as well. If I understand the concept you would not have to be wire connected to either your computer or cell phone via the external ant. Of course if you are in an area where you are receiving good cell coverage anyway then you would not require an external ant. and booster.
Interesting concept if you wanted the freedom to be outside your rig and still use either your computer or cell phone in remote areas with poor cell coverage.
