The materials needed are as follows:
1) 4 x 8 sheet of 1/4" plywood
2) batten (sp) to cover plywood
3) 1" x 1" brackets (2 per side of window)
4) #8 x 3/8 long screws (use to screw into plywood)
5) 1/4 inch staples
6) brads & wood glue (for fastening sides and front together)

I started by cutting the plywood into 3-1/2" wide strips x the length of the curtian length (make sure you have enough material to cover)
then cut the side strips (mine were 2-1/2" to 2-7/8, measure yours)the same length as the front strips. Then glue and brad together the front and side strips. Staple the batten to the assembled parts. Take the curtian and remove all the stitching and backing and then staple to the new boxed curtian. You have to remove the boxed item on top of the window to remove the curtian rod and brackets then reinstall the top boxed item. Install one bracket to the top and one to the bottom of the side and your done.

I will try to add pictures.
Good Luck
