I chose to not get the toppers, because the way I see it, the stuff than falls on the slides, is just going to land on the toppers and if they stick on the slide, they will stick on the topper. I figure something is going to have to be cleaned occasionally. Not to mention the noisy nights when the wind blows all night long. Besides, I've had my fill of awnings ripping and sun-rotting, and binding up in my life. Too much potential trouble with too little payback.
