JandC, I am convinced that guy was blowing smoke!! If they are adjusted properly when going down the production line, they should be just fine for a long time as long as things are tightened properly and something doesn't happen. Now, is thus subjective? Yes in deed! Someone else may adjust a slide room differently than I do. In 2005 when we bought the Challenger, I did do some adjusting on the slide rooms myself to make them sound smoother and slightly tighter in both positions. I had that thing for 9 years and never had to touch them again! Now, maybe the cable driven bed room slide on the Mountaineer will be different. I guess I'll find that out because, I have no knowledge of that system. But, I'm pretty sure I can take care of the other two thru-frame flush floor systems with no trouble.
