He is referring to a flat on the Montana not the tow vehicle. His reply makes perfect sense to me.

When we purchased our first ever camper a 2008 Montana 3400RL, the very first thing the PDI guy told me was to NEVER use supports under the slides and then he explained why. This was an older gentleman who had been full timing for years and seemed to know what he was talking about.
