Yep, you were the "Dave" I was looking for. Thanks for your input. I figured you probably had the best comparison as you have been in the same climate.
I'm with you on the water closet privacy. My old fleetwood had bathroom doors at each end, but the john was open to the shower & sink. I enjoy brushing my teeth without sharing the space with one of the kids using the bathroom.
