Installed Onan this past summer. We had a toyhauler prior to the Montana with onboard gen and I guess we got spoiled. When we travel we sleep in Walmart parking lots and like the convienence.Do some dry camping in Colorado and NF campgrounds without electric. Also like being able to use even for lunch stops, etc. Our trailer came with the gen prep option which made install relatively easy. I bought and installed for under $4K. Durango, CO dealer quoted $6500 if they install. I wrestled with all the options and came to the conclusion portable and onboard are both good. I am very happy with my choice.
