Don, have you gone on the outside of your unit, removed the refrigerator grate and checked to see if there is space between the refrig and the wall to install a piece of 1X2 or even a piece of lath that can be glued into place so you can fasten your magazine rack to the wall using screws? It seems to me there is enough space between them to put that piece of wood and this may be your solution to mounting the rack, giving it more support behind the wall to screw to and stability on the wall also for the magazine rack.
