In our case the fridge is in a slide. In every case where we've had this happen, and there have been several times, one of the external vertical seals for the slide was turned under. Did not fully turn out when the slide extended, in other words. Now I check the seals and if one is turned under I just run the rounded side of the "L" of the awning rod under the seal to turn it back out. Quick and easy and no damage to the seal. And no water even in the hardest blowing rain.
