We have a 3400 ordered that is coming off line August 8, so we hope to have it shortly thereafter. We are going to be living in it for a year while we build a new house, and taking weekend/holiday trips. The trailer will be parked most of the time in a local RV park with full hookups. I know that we need a pressure regulator for the city water supply, but our water here in San Antonio is extremely hard (I would never live in a house without a water softener). I have used a water filter called "Systems IV" on icemakers and hot water dispensers in houses before, and have seen these filters at RV stores. Has anyone had any experience with a filter that will remove at least some of the hardness without dropping the water flow to a trickle?
