When we had regular incandescent bulbs, I blew a fuse in the circuit that feeds these lights when I attempted to replace a bulb with the switch turned on. It was a 15 amp fuse in the electric panel. You might check to see if one of your fuses is open. We have since replaced all our 12 volt bulbs with LED's.
