This is actually one of my fears with our bedroom slide as well. It's a LONG ways from the control panel, and you can't see anything, and are only limited to what you hear happening.
How did you know when the seal is stuck, or something is jammed up?
Even on the slides that are close, you can't really see anything when they are going in and out. And as the seals slide by there, they make quite a bit of noise, that sounds like it's ripping things apart, but it's just the seals bending back and forth. Our last camper did the same thing, but never munched a seal...
