Yeah, I wouldn't normally run "full pressure" through the plastic back flow preventer that is inside the camper. I've heard of too many failures. I took mine out and "straight-piped" it to get it out of the camper. Mine was under my bathroom sink. I have an external back flow preventer that is of better quality. As far as the black tank goes - I'm very careful to never over fill the black tank (fearing just what you're warning against). And as far as the pressure goes, there shouldn't be any more pressure in the tank if it is filled fast as compared to slow, if the vent is clear.
