The information given above by others is pretty much accurate, it's basically designed to be a lighter unit. We went looking for a classic Montana, but could not find any with a floor plan we liked as well as our 305RL, that was as short as a 305RL (had to get it in a garage). The classic Montanas seem to run a little longer than the HCs.
Also, some of the longer HCs do have a 6 point leveling system. It depends on their weight and length. One other difference is the ducted A/C - it is not available in some of the HCs, but is in others.
The 2015 model HC is a wide body - 8'6", but I think they have gone back to 8' for the 2016 models.
