Back when I had my 2004 3650RK, it had the nice end cap, was nice yes, but it was in the back, so who cares, right? Funny thing too, was back then when we bought it, the sales rep said it would only be a matter of time before the Cougar was Mountaineer quality, Mountaineer was Montana quality, and Montana would move up. I agree with many of you, that options and quality are 2 different things. We got the new 3950 BR, we were up against the Solitutde by GD, both great rigs, we chose the Montana because we felt we got more for the money. Quality of both units was comparable. As we went through the Montata, we saw many upgrades and changes from our 2004, and they were not for the worse. I think it just comes down to options and what people want to pay for...Some things are more important to others. We ordered ours, and we didn't get the legacy package simply because we didn't think the extra options were worth the extra cost, but that's just us.
