Our 2010 3000RK came with the 1 1/2 receiver and we put a Swagman 2-bike carrier on it. Made 2 trips across the US and 5 trips from Oregon to Mesa without a problem of bouncing or coming loose. The Swagman has 2 l-shape pcs that can be attached to fit a 2" receiver.
