Well, I bit the bullet and got a new truck! Traded the ol' 05 RAM for a shiny new 2012 RAM. I was able to work the hitch into the deal. They quickly installed the hitch the next day without offering me a choice of brand. The Dodge dealer purchased a Husky 16K from the RV dealer that I got my Montana from. Immediately I noticed this Hitch CLUNKS on every bump! I went to the Montana dealer to talk to them about it. They told me this is a great hitch and I will love it. Then they said it will clunk when no trailer is on it and many remove it from the rails when not hauling. I put a few 5" pieces of a swim noodle in there and it sort of stopped the clunk. Maybe before I use it I should see about changing it out for one that doesn't clunk at all? My old Reese rode around quietly awaiting it's next service opportunity. It is really annoying!
