I decided in 2006 with my 1st Ford Diesel that only a Ford dealer would do any maintenance on the engine. I am still doing that and feel confident that the service is done correctly, any software upgrades are installed, and the truck was properly inspected and serviced. Others have a different approach--that is OK with me. I am sticking with Ford for service--and if you check the internet, there are coupons that can save you money.
