Hello Buster, I had to use a smaller right angle adapter on the Dewalt. It allowed for the about 3 inches of useable space above the pump motor. I happened to have two of them and one was about a half inch too big so I shifted to the other which worked fine. I believe I bought the smaller one at Sears -Glenn
