Hello Okierver. I have ran my Fantastic Fan on hot days while traveling in an attempt to keep the heat down in the 5er. I ran mine in manual mode on a low setting and left a couple of windows cracked open so it could draw air through. I am assuming you have a vent cover on the room for the Fantastic Fan, because I don't think traveling down the road with that vent open and no cover would be good for it. I have dual alternators and batteries in my truck, but I don't believe the Fantastic Fan would draw enough to worry about if you don't. -Glenn
