OK, I understand but it really makes no sense. If it's 59 inches long without this low pressure regulator or 61 inches long with regulator, the same potential for a problem exists regardless of that dimension. Oh well some committee had to do something

It sounds like I have 2 choices - remove it entirely or better yet, find a replacement. Since I'll be replacing it, is there a manufacturer and part number? Marshall-Excelsior have several with the MEGR-230 or MEGR-230-9 being a couple that I've found that may work.
