Since you have a 2004 model I assume you, like me, do not have auto leveling.

I used a tripod the first year we had the Monte. Helped a little with the shaking when someone was walking around. But when the washer/dryer went into spin cycle it would shake the whole trailer. Installed JT Strongarm struts the next year. Significantly more stable and much less shaking than with the tripod. I set the tripod in front of the trailer at an RV park with a $40 sign on it and it was bought within a couple hours.
