We winter in North GA so we do get colder temps and run the furnace quite a bit. Our last SOB had single pane and the furnace ran often and we struggled to keep warm with added heaters and also condensation on windows.
Ordered the double pane on the new Monty and the furnace runs just a little less but we are much warmer as we don't have those cold spots at all the windows creating drafts. We also have no issues now with condensation. It does seem a bit quieter also.
I can't say how much of the improvement is from windows and how much may be just a better insulated rig but we are much happier now and I would order them again.
