SurgeGuard

Some technical help please. I was at Four Seasons in Sprague, WA over the Labor Day weekend. Plugged into the park head (50A) and not power. Plugged into the 30A service not problem. Put a meter on the head, 248 volts, 120+ on each leg. Put a meter on the input on the surge protector (hard wired in, under the cabinets) and had the same readings as outside yet no output. At 50A the input light did not light. At 30A it did and all worked. There is an overvoltage cutout on this unit that is not supposed to trip until 132v on a leg. Called the company and the tech guy said my meter had to be bad because the surge protector with either allow power or it would not. I think the overvoltage cutout kicked in, but why would it not reset? There is no reset on the protector. I even tried it the next day so it had plenty of time to reset. I can't see taking it to the shop. I am tempted to just replace the unit before go out again in a couple of weeks. I may try to call my local dealer where I have had work done and see if he will let me plug it in and check it there. (They also did the original installation of the surge protector three years ago.) Where am I here?
