Along the lines of residential lighting, we replaced the two rear reading lamps, the two over the headboard and the one on the wall at the end of the sofa with fixture we purchased at Lowes. You can buy (a little pricey) 12 V CFL. They run much cooler and take less current for equal or greater light output.
