i don't remember who's idea it was. but you can put rubber o-rings behind the latch's. get o-ring's just big enough for the screw to go through. do not tighten the screw's reel tight. this will let the latch give. easy to open and stops breakage. the post i got this from was about 1 and 1/2 years ago.
