Ours is between the shower wall and the pantry wall. There is an access panel in the pantry wall but it's not even close to where that check valve is located. Somebody screwed up at the factory on that. If you don't see it in that opening, get yourself a hand mirror and flashlight. I had to cut a new access hole.
