We have had both the pressure pro and now the TST over the last 12 years not familiar with the tire minder but they all work pretty much the same.
The TPMS can not warn of a blowout(a sudden and catastrophic failure) Boom and it is gone as DQDick states it will warn of a loss of psi that will eventually lead to a catastrophic failure. We also will not be on the road without a TPMS.
