there are some construction differences, they are both made in the same factory. We had a Mountaineer and now have a Montana. We like them both. The montana is upgraded Mountaineer. Look at the Keystone website and under each of the names you will find the brochure that shows the construction.

The Mountaineer has Trailair suspension and Montana Moryde. Montana has a little more insulation. From what we have seen what is in the Montana shows up in the Mountaineer about 2 years later. The Mountaineer has the bunk version and toyhauler version that Montana doesn't. Of course the Montana is a little more expensive. we traded for the Montana because of the floor plan which I see is now in the Mountaineer--3150 RL

I am sure someone else will come along and give you some of the oter differences.
