Lisa and Ozz,
The gallbladder is just a "holding tank" for the bile and bile salts that is made by the liver. You can easily live without it. The bile is still there, just not the holding tank. The liver still dumps the bile into the common bile duct then it goes into your intestines to help digest fats when needed...
Ozz, some people say they a little more difficulty GI wise with very fatty foods after a GB removal...most don't
