I didn't vote because I don't tow (SOB remember) but when I did tow the 3400RL it was with a 4x4. There were a couple CG that were open fields and it rained. I was glad I had it. Pluse, in Texas, there are beach areas where you can drive on the beach. A 4x4 is the only way to go (or AWD)and is a nice scenic experience. Also, as John stated, it made it easier for backing, even with the automatic transmission.
