It is saddening to hear that happening to anyone. I had always wondered when and if it would ever happen to me. Well, I don't have to worry about it anymore, but I did scrape the side of the MH on the first time out. "Stuff" just happens.
You are safe and that is the most important thing. Every thing other than life is material. I really wonder why the tug test did not work indicate a problem? Hmmm!
